Images in this page are taken with a B&W cooled astronomical camera, QHY9, and they are showing the H-a emission linbe.
The most bright emission line of various nebulae is usually Hydrogen-alpha.
For color image, three different color channels are needed. Since I have a B&W camera, every channel is imaged separately, trough different filters.
Due that, I have a gray scale version from every image.
To have a maximum amount of shades, images are in 16bit gray scale format. They print out as stunning gray scale images with modern photo printers.
